Cheap Xbox Series S Games – Phil Spencer Talks About Xbox’s Position
In an interview with Kinda Funny, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer talked about the rivalry between Xbox, Sony, and Nintendo. He says that Xbox is in third place as of right now, and the other two are bigger shareholders. So, simply making better games won’t be enough for Xbox to end up with a bigger market share. Spencer accepts that Microsoft lost the sales race to Sony during the Xbox One/PS4 generation. So, Microsoft doesn’t hope to come on top just by selling consoles and cheap Xbox Series S games.
Cheap Xbox Series S Games – What is Xbox’s Goal?
Firstly, according to Spencer, Xbox’s goal is not to compete with Sony and Nintendo on console sales. Instead, the company is trying to focus on making sure that everyone on their platform has an amazing gaming experience.
Microsoft is not in the business of “out-consoling” its competitors, or at least that is what Spencer is saying.
The Digital Library
Secondly, Spencer says that most people who buy consoles already have a good enough library of games. So, this makes it quite difficult for them to switch to a new platform after a long time.
Even Starfield, a highly anticipated game from Bethesda, doesn’t have what it takes to deliver that kind of result.
Spencer says that even if it is the best game ever, that won’t be enough for Xbox to overtake Sony. So, it seems that people are unlikely to sell their PlayStation consoles to buy Xbox just for one game.
Microsoft’s Vision
Spencer has a strong belief that Microsoft has a unique vision for the marketplace. Instead of focusing solely on consoles, the company is building a large setup that supports games across different devices.
Of course, this will also include phones and tablets through streaming. The goal is to make games available on as many platforms as possible to reach the maximum number of users.
The Future of Xbox
The console is still at the core of Xbox’s brand. So, the company will continue to ensure that the console experience is as great as it can be. Microsoft does not plan to compete with Sony or Nintendo directly.
So, they would rather focus on their own unique products and polish them. Spencer says that there is no win for Xbox in staying in the wake of somebody else. So, the company will continue to forge its own path.
Cheap Xbox Series S Games – Bright Future for Xbox?
Despite being in the third position in the console market, Xbox remains committed to giving gamers the best experience ever. With Microsoft Gaming CEO fully aware of their strengths and weaknesses, they want to make the best of their situation.
So, they want to make sure that gamers get the best possible experience. It doesn’t matter if it is top-tier titles or cheap Xbox Series S games like F1 Manager 22. Xbox will always try and deliver quality gaming to its users.
