The Elder Scrolls 6 Seems to Have a Long Wait Ahead
Bethesda has shared an update on the release of The Elder Scrolls 6, and it’s not the news fans were hoping for. As much as we’d all love Bethesda to announce an imminent launch for Elder Scrolls VI, we know such a delightful surprise is unlikely. Be ready, you’re not going to like it if you don’t already know the sad news. Anyone holding off on their plans to buy Xbox One games can go back to other titles now.
Buy Xbox One Games – A Long Wait Ahead
Some suggest that 2028 is the earliest we’ll see Elder Scrolls VI, and that, too, is just speculation. This isn’t a date that Bethesda or Todd Howard is giving, but rather one that GQ estimates after a recent interview with Howard.
However, with what Howard has said and the current developer’s focus on Starfield right now, it’s not an unreasonable assumption.
The Silver Lining
Now that we know that the game is in development, it eases the pain of having to wait so long. Not by much, but it helps dull the pain to an irritating ache rather than an agonizing, crushing sensation.
When we think about this logically, it makes sense that this game will take so long to develop. After all, Howard has already said he wants it to be the “ultimate fantasy world simulator”.
So, with such high expectations, you can’t rush the process, and the final product needs to be perfect.
A Premature Announcement?
After asking about regrets on announcing the game way back in 2018, Howard says that the reveal was perhaps a little premature.
Still, while the wait continues, it proves that the love for the franchise is very much alive and thriving. So, even the launch of Starfield can’t quiet the love we all have for The Elder Scrolls.
Knowing that the sci-fi RPG will be more like Oblivion than Skyrim is also a cause for celebration. This is not because Skyrim was bad, but because Oblivion is superior, and we all know it.
The Never-Ending Wait
So, once again, all that stretches before us is a wait that feels never-ending. But such is the life of passionate gamers who believe good things come to those who wait.
Let’s hope we’re right, though we doubt fans would give Bethesda any wiggle room on this; it’s success or nothing. There’s no in-between.
Buy Xbox One Games – Other Things to Focus On
The long wait for The Elder Scrolls 6 continues, and we are clearly looking at years of waiting. With Bethesda’s confirmation and the dedication of passionate gamers, fans can look forward to an enhanced gaming experience… eventually. Of course, all that time can be spent on other games, so do buy Xbox One games like Diablo 4.
