Online Xbox Series X Games – Ghostwire:Tokyo will Release on Xbox
After more than a year since its launch on PS5, Tango Gameworks’ Ghostwire: Tokyo is finally coming to Xbox. The game is expected to arrive on Xbox Series X|S soon, and fans are eagerly anticipating its release. After the barrage of other online Xbox Series X games, this is a great option to have for sure. However, the release does still have some caveats that we are sharing.
Online Xbox Series X Games – Expanding Reach with a Unique Setting
The game has a combination of Western gameplay and a Japanese open-world Tokyo setting. So, it makes the game quite appealing for most Xbox players.
Xbox has been trying to expand its reach in Japan. So, Ghostwire: Tokyo seems like a good fit to appeal to a Western audience.
The game did not receive critical acclaim on its PlayStation launch in March 2022. However, the user scores for it were quite positive.
Fans are excited to see what the game has to offer. They want to see its potential to showcase the capabilities of Xbox Series X and S hardware.
A Solid Playing Experience Overall
Ghostwire: Tokyo is also expected to provide an enjoyable and compelling open-world experience. So, there will be a night-time setting and demon-expelling action as well.
The game’s comparison to a Ubisoft-style open world does not bother fans either. However, that is as long as it provides an engaging gameplay experience.
The game’s release on Xbox Game Pass is significant and key to Microsoft’s efforts to expand its offerings there. The move towards next-gen-only development is also evident in Bethesda’s decision.
They seem to want to make Ghostwire: Tokyo and Arkane’s Deathloop exclusive to next-gen consoles only.
Missing Prelude Leaves Fans Disappointed
An important development here is that the game will not be getting the Prelude story on Xbox. There is no explanation so far from the developers on why that is the case.
Fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment about not having access to all the Ghostwire: Tokyo content. Many fans wanted to know the exact reason why the Xbox version of the game will be missing Prelude.
Some fans say that it is because of the feud between Sony and Microsoft about the purchase of Activision Blizzard. However, there is no evidence to suggest this is the case.
Online Xbox Series X Games – A Lot to Look Forward to
Despite the disappointment surrounding the missing Prelude story, fans are still looking forward to the game’s release. The game promises to be a more ‘AAA’ offering from the team and will show Xbox hardware capabilities too.
The PS5 version contained a huge list of different performance options to mess about. So, fans hope that all of those will also be available on Xbox Series X.
Stepping away from online Xbox Series X games, you can also try Wanted: Dead. It is a slasher/shooter that takes you to Hong Kong and you enjoy epic action.
