Stealth Basics Coming Back in Assassin’s Creed Mirage

If there is any game that the majority of gamers are looking forward to this fall, it has to be the new Assassin’s Creed Mirage. There are a lot of high expectations from the game, and we are hopeful that Ubisoft will deliver. At least that seems to be the case after seeing the game in action during the 2023 Ubisoft Forward event. It might just turn out to be among the best online Xbox Series X games this year.

Online Xbox Series X Games – Paying Homage to Its Origin

Firstly, one of the things that everyone seems to be talking about is the old-school style of stealth that the game is offering. We think it might be Ubisoft’s attempt at paying respect to the way stealth originally worked in the first couple of Assassin’s Creed games.

Of course, that style is not just limited to this franchise, and we can see it in other popular titles of the time as well. So, the game has much more focus and straightforward style too.

Smaller But Detailed World

Secondly, it seems that this game will not consist of the incredibly large worlds and gameplay that previous titles have. Unlike Origins, Odyssey, and even Valhalla, this game is on a smaller scale. So, we know what it is like when Ubisoft says that the map will be a lot smaller.

They say it is more like the Paris of Unity or the Constantinople of Revelations. So, depending on how the game puts it to use in the story, this could be a great decision too.

Thirdly, after the initial trailers, we finally got to see several minutes of gameplay as well in the event. The game focuses a lot on the parkour aspect and escaping on the rooftops of the city.

According to the company, it is ‘easy to access, easy to master’ these elements of the game. So, they think that players will want to use it often, and it will give them a sense of control as well.

New Tools at Your Disposal

Finally, it would not be a new Assassin’s Creed game without some new tools to play with. So, you get to see a number of new things in action here.

The first one is marking targets, a brand-new skill that lets Basim, the protagonist, kill multiple enemies at once.

Using gas bombs to disable enemies is also a great addition, and darts offer a new way of stealth attacks. The actual swordfights are not any less fun either and we get to see some cool new moves there as well.
