Xbox Games Fallout 5 Pushed Back After Elder Scrolls 6
Bethesda is very clear about the fact that Fallout 5 is still years away. The post-apocalyptic RPG is going to release after Elder Scrolls 6 and is only just starting its pre-production. This means fans will have to wait a long time before they get to enjoy Xbox games Fallout 5. So, we are sharing everything that you need to know about this case.
Xbox Games No Immediate Plans for Fallout 5
Todd Howard of Bethesda says that Fallout 5 is in the pipeline but warns fans not to expect it anytime soon.
The developer is currently working on Starfield, and that game is just a few weeks away. After that comes Elder Scrolls 6, which despite being announced in 2018, is still in the very early stages of development.
Long Wait Frustrates Fans
This news frustrates fans who are eager to return to the Fallout universe. However, Bethesda is taking its time, as Howard explained: “Yes, Elder Scrolls 6 is in pre-production and, you know, we’re going to be doing Fallout 5 after that, so our slate’s pretty full going forward for a while”.
It does make sense if you look at it from the company’s perspective, though. After all, no game that comes out in haste ever works well. At least, that is the case for recent launches like Redfall.
No Timeframe Yet for Elder Scrolls 6
No firm timeframe is available for either Elder Scrolls 6 or Fallout 5. Since Elder Scrolls 6 is only now entering pre-production, it will likely be several years before its release.
And Fallout 5, which is probably just a concept at this point, will come even later. Howard himself doesn’t know if he’ll even work on Fallout 5, given the development timeframe.
Exclusivity Rumors Add Controversy
There are also rumors that both games will be Xbox exclusives, like Starfield. This potential decision is already generating backlash from PlayStation fans. But Bethesda is staying quiet on exclusivity details for now.
Xbox Games Fans Eagerly Await New Titles
While the wait is long, fans remain eager for more Fallout and Elder Scrolls. In the meantime, they continue to replay and mod classic titles like Skyrim and Fallout 4. The real focus currently is on the impending launch of the highly anticipated Starfield this September.
Summing Up
Bethesda has made clear that Fallout 5 won’t arrive until long after Elder Scrolls 6 is released. So post-apocalyptic fans will need patience. There are no real details yet besides a very long development timeline. While frustrating, at least there are older Fallout and Elder Scrolls games to replay.
For now, the gaming community is looking ahead to Starfield this fall. But the long wait continues for more Fallout. Of course, you can also spend your time playing other Xbox games as well. So, one title that we can easily suggest to anyone is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
