Cheapest Xbox One Games – Major Xbox Exclusive Gets Quite the Mixed Reviews

Redfall, the latest major game from Arkane Studios, is out, and critics are sharing their thoughts on the game. Redfall had quite the buzz among fans of the studio, with their previous games being the Dishonored series and Deathloop. However, the game is seemingly failing to live up to expectations set by its predecessors. Many reviewers are less than impressed with the shooter. So, we think even the cheapest Xbox One games might be doing better right now.

Cheapest Xbox One Games – Mundane Score on Metacritic

At the time of writing, Redfall has a score of 64 on Metacritic. This is quite a mundane score if you compare it to other games from Arkane.

The Dishonored series averages between the low to high 80s, and Deathloop consistently scores in the high 80s. The low score is a huge disappointment for fans of the studio who were eagerly waiting for this game.

Critics’ Reviews

Hey, Poor Player’s review describes Redfall as having “shockingly poor” optimization. This is a major issue for a game that should have thorough tests before its release.

The review from GameSpot is similar, too, saying: “Redfall is a game that should not have been released yet. Its litany of bugs hampers the gameplay loop of exploring its world with friends, and that loop itself feels compromised by elements that are poorly executed and ill-suited to the team implementing them.”

WellPlayed’s review of the game was no less critical. It says that “Redfall has none of the flavor or mechanical finesse that we’ve come to expect from Arkane Studios.”

However, some reviewers did give the game positive reviews as well. XboxEra says the game is “fantastic in most ways,” and that “any fan of the genre should play” it. We Got This Covered went even further and called it a “masterpiece.”

Issues with Redfall

One of the issues that initially put off some fans was the requirement for a constant online connection. Thankfully, the studio changed their decision on this requirement, and the game can now be played offline.

However, it still launched with a 30fps Graphics Mode. So, that’s lower than the 60fps Performance Mode, which reportedly will come out later.

This also led some players to complain about the game’s performance and feel. They say that they are missing out on an optimal gaming experience.

Cheapest Xbox One Games – Uncertain Future for Redfall

In conclusion, Redfall has received mixed reviews from critics. Some are praising the game’s solid gameplay mechanics and others are criticizing the bugs and poor execution.

As a result, it may be worth waiting for a patch or for the launch of the 60fps Performance Mode before purchasing the game.

In the meanwhile, you can spend your time playing other cool and cheapest Xbox One games too. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a title we highly recommend for anyone reading this.
